37 Weeks and 6 days Already
OH MY GOD i do not have long. Two weeks until my due date and I really am starting to get scared. I am so uncomfortable. With all the trips to hospital I can not wait until its all over. I haven't updated my blog much in the past couple of weeks because I have not been able to focus on something for more than 30 minutes. I haven't been up to much I got to go to Enfield fireworks with Steve and got to go and see my cousin Kelly yesterday. Kelly had bags and Boxes of clothes for me to look through. She gave me so much. The nursery wardrobe is so full. Steve and I are so grateful. We just cant wait for him to arrive now.
34 Weeks What a week
I turned 34 weeks the 14th October. What a horrible day. It was raining and cold. I decided to get out of the house for a while I would go for a walk with Steve and the dogs. We headed up to the river and I started to feel pains. I just thought it was all the walking so we decided to make our way bk but not rush. When we got home I decided because of the amount of pain I was going to have a bath. By the time I had got out of the bath I was having tightening's every 10 minutes. After about an hour and a half of pain Steve and I decided we should ring the hospital and see what they say. They asked us to come in to make sure everything was OK.
On arrival at the hospital I went to MFAU. I was placed on a machine and told I was having tightening's every 2 minutes and the doctor was going to be called. The doctor that came to see us decided because the tightenings were coming every two minutes, that they were going to have to give me steroid's for the baby's lungs. The doctor was thinking the baby was on his way. I was rushed up to delivery and put on a machine for the night. I was given tablets to try and stop labour so I could get round to 7 o'clock for the second steroid injection. I made to 7 o'clock and was told that I was going to be moved to Lady Mary Ward so I could sleep.
When I was moved to Lady Mary Steve was told by the head nurse he had to go home and sleep and if anything happened he would be called. I slept from 11 o'clock to about 14:30 as soon as I woke up the pain had started again. I kept an eye on the pain and told the nurse. By the time Steve came back in at 19:00 I was having tightenings again every 5 to 8 minutes. We informed the nurse who called the doctor. The doctor came and checked me and told me I was dilated 1cm. The nurse then decided to transfer me back up to delivery unit. I spent another two nights on delivery and nothing happened. I had no infection and all tests were coming back negative so the doctors couldn't work out what was making my uterus tight. I was then transferred back to Lady Mary on the Friday. For the next 4 days i was put on the machine to check the movements of the baby and what my uterus was doing. I was checked a couple of times by doctors. By the Monday I was told if I had a comfortable night sleep and the trace looked OK and I wasn't bleeding I was aloud to go home on the Tuesday. The doctors decided that I was aloud to go home. Which i was happy about because I was missing home and Steve a lot.

WOW the nursery looks great

Mum, Dad, Steve and Myself converted the old study into this beautiful Nursery. Dad and Steve removed the fitted wardrobe they looked knackered once it was pulled out. I painted the walls with Mum and Steve's help. When we had finished painting Dad put up the jungle themed wall paper. When the decorating was complete we all helped with putting the furniture in. Steve and I enjoyed putting the animal stickers on the painted walls. We are now just waiting on the baby. It looks great for a little boy. All I can say to Mum and Dad at the moment is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

What a silly thing to do.
Monday 29th September I started to empty the room beside mine and Steve's so we could start getting it ready for the baby's arrival. I moved a box and put it beside the unit in our bedroom. I then decided to sit down for 10 minutes and when I stood up I forgot the box was there, walked a couple of steps, you can guess what happened next I went arse over tit right onto my belly on the floor. Yes me being clumsy once again. I landed more on my left side and god it hurt. Steve ran straight towards me rolled me over and called the hospital. They advised for the safety of the baby I was to come in and have a trace done.
The baby hadn't moved and by the time we got to the hospital I was trying to stay relaxed. I was put on the trace for 45minutes and told that everything was OK. The attitude of the midwife did not convince Steve or myself that the baby was OK.
The following morning I woke up in pain from all the bruising and my tummy was so sore. I spent the day with mum and relaxed did little movement because I was hurting. By 16:30pm I realised the baby hadn't moved much all day and when he did it felt weak. I called the hospital back and explained what I was feeling, the fall I had, the fact I was uncomfortable and hadn't felt that the baby move much. They advised once again to come in and have a trace done. I was on the machine for 30 minutes and the baby had not moved and his heart rate had dropped below 100bpm on a couple of occasions. The midwife calmly asked for the doctor to come and check the trace and he looked a little concerned. He decided to keep me on the machine for another 20-30 minutes and in that time the trace started to look better and he had started to move. The doctor then felt comfortable with sending me home.
Now 32 weeks and 1 day I had my community midwife appointment she checked the heartbeat and where he was laying. The heartbeat was good and the baby is laying head down. She could still move the head so he is not engaged. She also measured my tummy and I am measuring at 33 weeks. Its all getting so close now.

False Alarm
31 Weeks Tuesday 23rd September I decided I wanted to go for a walk with Steve on the way round I started to get pains. We got home and I slowly wondered around the house. I started to feel sick and really did not want to eat dinner but I was encouraged by everyone. I then went for a bath to see if that would help with the pain. It felt like really bad period cramps and my tummy would go rock hard. Definitely not comfortable.Whilst I was in the bath Steve rang the hospital and they asked him to get me to ring them back once I got out of the bath. When I rang MFAU they asked me to ring straight through to the delivery unit. Whilst I was on the phone to them I felt as though I was leaking. I stood up and there on the towel was a round circle of water. After informing the midwife she asked me to come in.
When I arrived at the hospital they put me on the trace and was told I was contracting but they were not in regular. The heartbeat was nice and strong. Watching the painful ones on the monitor were funny. After being check I was told I was closed. It was so reliving. After being on the delivery unit for 3 hours they decided to transfer me to the ward. That night was so uncomfortable. I got hardly any sleep but the nurse on was lovely and I didn't feel as though I was all on my own.
Now home and the baby hasn't arrived but I am to take it easy. I have the odd sick feeling and getting a lot of cramps but none as bad as the other night.
I am really getting excited now and everyone thinks he could be early. Lets hope he doesn't and when he does come he is 100% ready.
He just isn't aloud to come whilst Steve is away.

Yet another trip to hospital
I had to ring the midwife yesterday because i was getting tightening feelings and it felt as though i was leaking fluid again. After informing her of the weekend I had and telling her I had the sensation of losing water again she asked me to ring MFAU. So I rang MFAU and they asked me to come in and get checked out. We arrived at 15.45pm and we sat in reception until 17.15pm. They strapped me to the machine and the baby just went mad. I was clicking the button so much my tummy looked like jelly on a plate. The heartbeat was nice a strong. I was disconnected from the machine at 18.00pm and told to go back and wait in reception. We ended up waiting in reception until 20.30pm they couldn't get a doctor to come and check me over. By the time a doctor came down to see me the tightening feelings had gone and i was just really uncomfortable.
When the doctor came down to see me she had a look at my cervix and they were closed and long. Which she said was good. Basically a false alarm. When she had a look I wasn't leaking. So at least the leaking earlier that day didn't develop into a gush and going into labour.
He just needs to stay in there a little longer. Only 10 more weeks until my due date. I think he knows everyone is really looking forward to having a cuddle.
Steve is now getting really worried, because he is having to go to Paris and Poland for 2 separate weeks closer to the due date. He is worried I am going to go into labour whilst he is away working.
Week 30 today and he is a little fidget I am really looking forward to it now. Not so much the pain side of things. Its the unexpected which I do not like.

29 Weeks and 3 days The Latest Picture

This picture was taken before Steve took me out to the cinema. I am now 29 weeks and 4 days and everyone is saying from this picture I am really showing. Only 10 weeks to go and I really am getting excited. Steve cant wait to cuddle him on his chest and Mum cant wait to push him in the pram. Everynight he is kicking and moving around and we are loving watching my tummy bounce about.

29 Weeks and 2 days
Role on November I can not wait for the baby to arrive. I am finding it hard to cope with being at home a lot of the time. The baby is moving a lot and he likes to sit on my lung. Well it feels like he is sitting on my lung. His bum feels very big. This last week the kicks have been getting harder, I enjoy the feeling but sometimes they just hurt. I also feel as though my bump has got bigger because I can not sit up straight, I have to rest backwards. Its weird this week I have had ups and downs feeling one minute like i could cry my eyes out and the next i am happy.
Still feeling sick on some mornings. I think it depends on if I have something to drink at night.

Week 28
Its been a good week. We were away at the weekend and on Wednesday when I turned 28 weeks and 1 day I had my 28 week scan. It was amazing. He looks so big and so cute. Everything looks good he was kicking around trying to kick the scanning probe. It was good fun. The radiologist also check the fluid level and she said there was alot in there. So losing some water at 23 weeks hasn't hurt him too much. I also had my glucose test done as well. Which means drinking a bottle of lucozade and then having blood tests done. It made me feel really sick. Unfortunately Steve could not come with me because of work so Julie came and kept me company. She really enjoyed watching the scan being done. She has just finished the second cardigan for him and its so tiny.
When the scan was finished I then had my midwife appointment back in Mildenhall. She listened to his heart rate and told me that he is measuring two weeks ahead. So at 28 weeks he is measuring at 30 weeks. His head is also down because his bum sits nicely on my lung or right out the top of my tummy. I love it when he moves. I am getting really excited now only 2 months really to go.

26 Weeks and 4 Days
Why wont you move
I woke up on Wednesday morning in some pain. I had just turned 26 weeks and was concerned because the baby hadn't moved. In the night I had rolled onto my stomach which made me wake up. I had a rough night and wasn't feeling great when I woke up. I quickly popped down to the health clinic to see the midwife to pick up a MATB1 form and she told me if he still hadn't moved after drinking some really cold water I was to call MFAU. I did what the midwife said and he still hadn't moved. All of a sudden I started being violently sick and wasn't feeling great. So I decided to call MAFU and they advised me to come in and get checked out. Mum came home and drove me to the hospital. Walking through the car park I was being sick. We had a laugh saying I was leaving breadcrumbs behind so I could find my way back to the car.
When arriving at MAFU they put me on the machine and traced the baby's heart for about an hour and sods law he was moving around and kicking. What a pain in the bum.
Steve has been away this past week working at V festival and Leeds festival. I got a phone call Friday morning saying don't worry but I am in A&E because a van had pinned him up against a fence. Luckily he was fine and is just bruised but its making me miss him so much more.

What a big baby.
Oh yeah I had a scan done whilst I was in hospital. They measured the baby he is so far you ready 1lb 9oz we have been told that is big for a 24 week old baby. We are loving the fact that he is beating the odds. Everyone medically trained has told us he was going to be underweight and so far he is doing well.
24 Weeks. What a week.
What a week. Last Wednesday the 30th July in the evening I got up to go to the toilet and realised I was bleeding. The panic that rushed through me. I shouted for Steve and he got mum. I remember thinking god I have lost the baby. He hadn't moved so when we called 999 and they kept asking the same questions it started to stress me out. When the paramedics turned up they told me I was bleeding and that my waters had broken. So the first thing i said was take me to the Rosie. Unfortunately there was no bed for the baby at Rosie so I was rushed to the nearest A&E which was Bury St Edmund's. That night at West Suffolk Hospital it seemed to take ages. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat as soon as we arrived and we were told my cervix were slightly opened with blood and water at the opening. That night I started to get some really bad contractions. I think that made me panic because he was to early.Morning finally came round and I had a scan that confirmed I had a normal amount of water around the baby. He started to move around as well which made me happy. The doctors at west Suffolk decided it was safe for me to go home. I didn't feel well enough though. Mum and Dad were not happy with my discharge so they decided to take me to see my GP. He looked at me listened to what happened and wanted me readmitted to Rosie where I should have gone the Wednesday night. As I walked out of the doctors surgery I collapsed mum pushed me into the car seat and dad drove to get me home. On the way home they decided a ambulance was needed because I wasn't strong enough for a car journey. The paramedic car turned up and the ambulance followed close behind, they checked my blood sugars which were low and put me on oxygen to stop me from feeling dizzy. They got me in the back of the ambulance and Steve came with me to the hospital. I was examined on arrival and the doctor couldn't see water I could feel the relief just rise through my body. They kept me in over night and then decided to keep me in until I could have a scan. I was being sick and having the sensation that I was losing water. I had another scan done which confirmed a good amount of water around the baby. I am to rest until I see the GP next week.I am happy to be home but Addenbrookes made me feel safe and happy that the baby was healthy. Bed rest until further notice.

21 Week Scan
I had to go back to the Rosie today to have another scan. Everything is fine. It is definitely a Boy. The Sonographer confirmed that today. Peanuts heart is healthy and he is doing well. He moved around so much during the scan. Occasionally it looked like he was waving. Steve couldn't come so my mum came and she was so amazed at the detail. As soon as he was confirmed as being healthy I called Steve to let him know everything was OK.
The next scan is at 28 weeks and I am so excited. I can not believe that I am half way there.
I CANT BEND OVER.
This morning I was looking for a pair of socks and I couldn't reach down to the pile of clothes I had get down on the floor. I didn't think I had much of a bump I am obviously getting bigger. lol.

What a kick.
21 weeks, When Steve and I had the 20 week scan last week the person doing the scan could not get a good look at the heart. So this Thursday we are off to the Rosie to have another scan. The baby was diagnosed with a SUA which is a Single Umbilical Artery. I have been told all that will happen is I will be monitored closely so the baby is healthy.
The baby is moving so much. I feel it kick so hard but when someone touches my tummy they don't. I cant wait for Steve to feel Jack kick. We have definitely decided that Jack is the baby's name.

IT'S A BOY IT'S A BOY
IT'S A BOY, IT'S A BOY. Well you can most probably guess I am having a Boy. We had our 20 Week scan today. Everything went really well and the baby kicked like mad during the scan. Steve is so chuffed the baby is a boy. We have also decided on a name. He will be called Jack Owen Drawbridge. The scan was amazing, I have to go back again next Thursday so they can check the baby's heart. All because he wouldnt move so the midwife could see. It was lovely seeing 10 fingers and 10 toes. I could have sat there for ages watching the screen.
We have nearly got all the baby stuff its mainly clothes we have to get now.
NO MORE MORNING SICKNESS AS WELL. Yeah the morning sickness has died off Pop Tarts are helping me through it.

Morning sickness is slowly going
I am now 19 weeks and I am only being sick the odd morning. If i lay in too late i tend to be sick. The latest thing that seems to make me feel better is Pop tarts. Chocolate ones as well.
Now I am feeling better I dont seem to be as tired. The only thing that ets to me at the moment is my hormones one minute I seem to be up the next feeling low. I get cranky over the littlest things, I am hoping steves coping with the mood swings.
My tummy isnt really showing but everyone says they can see it growing. When I lay on my tummy it feels huge.
The baby is moving. I get the odd kick here and there and if I have a can of coke I feel alot of moving. It feels like butterflies sometimes. I love the feeling. Peanut is doing well.
Next week is the 20 week scan and we are thinking of finding out the sex of the baby but I think we will decide when we are there.

First hospital stay
This last week has been a rough one. I am now 17 weeks pregnant and on Tuesday the 10th of June whilst at work making a bed I nearly passed out from this god awful pain which made me think I was losing the baby. I spoke to the nurse in charge and she told me to go to A&E straight away. A&E then sent me to MFAU which is maternal fetal assessment unit where they admitted me to the ward for what I thought was a day of observation. One day turned into four and I was diagnosed with severe constipation basically a real pain in the bum. lol. Whilst I was in hospital the nurses were lovely and because Steve had not heard the heartbeat properly only over the phone and the recorded version they used there little machine and Steve's face was a picture the smile was huge. Peanut is doing well the heartbeat was strong and the doctors said the baby should be absolutely fine.
Now out of hospital I am recovering from the pressure and pain from all the wind in my stomach. My tummy isn't really showing yet but I can feel it and Steve can see it. My jeans don't fit and my first pair of maternity jeans are getting tight.
I just cant wait now to feel the baby move. 20 week scan is creeping up and I cant believe that I am nearly half way there.
Morning sickness is nearly gone not being sick anymore, just got nausea. But if i eat my nutella on toast I feel good.
My Mum and Dad ordered the pram and some nursery things and my Auntie Jules bought some things for the nursery to. It seems early but for money reasons Steve and I are having to do the sensible thing and buy things over the months to make sure we have everything.

How annoying
How annoying I just dont fit. All the maternity jeans are too big and my regular jeans are now too small which is a good thing but annoying. I am getting bigger but its not visable. All I seem to wear is tracksuit bottoms which are comfy but I cant really where them for work. Its been a good day today not felt to unwell which has been nice.

What a gd day
This is the best I have felt in days. Felt a little sick this morning but once I had taken mum to work and picked up Jess, I ended up having a chicken sandwich for breakfast and I felt so gd. Went to Norwich with Jess, thought I would find something I really wanted but nothing really interested me. I also couldnt find any sleepsuits for the baby so I was a little disapointed but I still had a gd day out with Jess.

I love my cereal but that is one thing since i found out I was pregnant I havent been able to eat. Steve and I had a great weekend over our friends Tony and Jenny's we went Hot air ballooning. I got to see my first night glow. Everything is going well with Peanut though.

The Babies Heartbeat
14 weeks and 1 day
How cool. I got to hear the babies heartbeat. It sounds like a whooshing noise and when I giggled the heartbeat got faster. It was so relieving to hear the heart beating away. I recorded it on my phone and because Steve couldnt be there I played it down the phone to him. He was so amazed. My midwife appointment went really well. Blood pressure is fine and the midwife is so good at taking blood. I had the blood taken for the triple test and I was so scared and she was so gentle. I am not even bruised. The heartbeat amazed me the most though. Next appointment with the community midwife is when I am 24 weeks. I cant wait.
